Edward J. Ralyea

HARRINGTON - Edward J. Ralyea, 57, of Harrington, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Edward was the son of the late Elwin H. and Dolores (Torcello) Ralyea. He worked at the Kent County Waste Treatment Plant in Frederica for several years as a Waste Treatment Specialist. He was an avid fisherman, especially fresh water fishing for big mouth bass. He also loved gardening and working outside. Edward was an avid sports enthusiast, especially following NASCAR. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Shirley, Ann Ralyea in 1970; and a brother, Joseph Ralyea in 2004. He is survived by a sister, Donna Paczkowski and her husband George of Felton; a brother, Paul Ralyea of Harrington; an aunt, Joan Fasano of Batavia, N.Y.; and his close friend, Walt Walls of Harrington. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
