Edward Arthur Boehling passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023. Edward was born to the late John and Marjorie (Konzelman) Boehling in Santa Monica, CA.
Edward grew up in East Brunswick, NJ. After high school, he attended DMLC and graduated in 1969. In 1985, he earned his M.A. and Master of Divinity degrees from Michigan Luther Seminary. He worked in the industry for 14 years. He instructed for WELS at the university level, worked as a hospital chaplain and he was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Newark, DE. In addition, he worked as a substitute teacher for the Caesar Rodney school district. Mr. Boehling was an avid railroad enthusiast, and a model railroad hobbyist. He enjoyed spending time at the local YMCA maintaining his health and spending time with the " Y'sGuys".
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by grandparents Rev. J. Frederick and Emilie (Meyer) Boehling and by sister, Ruth (Boehling) Williams.
Edward is survived by brother, Fred (Patricia) Boehling of PA; niece, Sue (Doug) Haddad of Florida; nephew Tim Williams of NY; niece Sharon Hester of Florida and great nephew, Eric (Maria) Stir of Dover, Del., great nephew Michael (Kahori) Haddad of Dallas, TX and many more great nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
