NEWARK - Edna Mae Speorl, 69, of Newark, passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011. She is survived by her husband, Carl; a niece, Diane Wharry (Jim) and their daughter, Leanna; and a sister, Linda Spiezio (Michael). Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 15, at Newark Baptist Church, 6011 Telegraph Rd, Elkton, Md., where friends may visit with her family from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. In memory of Edna's love for her church, memorial contributions can be made to Newark Baptist Church, P.O. Box 5839, Newark, DE 19714-5839.
