Edna Mae Campbell Daisey, 85

CLAYTON - Edna Mae Campbell Daisey, passed away in her home on Sunday, April 19, 2009. She was 85. She retired from the Smyrna School District as a food service manager after 15 years of service. She was a member and past Noble Grand of Doris Rebekah Lodge 9; a past president of the DE School Food Service Association; a member and past president of the Clayton Century Club and the DE Federation of Women's Clubs; a member and past president of the Clayton Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was very attentive in the lives of her grandchildren who will always miss and love her. She was preceded in death by her parents, George B. and Sallie Virginia Powell Campbell; a daughter, Sallie Ann Rodriguez; and two grandchildren, Lennie Paul Moore and Mary Elizabeth "Missy" Mullins. She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, George K. Daisey; two children, George K. Daisey Jr. and his wife Rose, of Clayton, and Esther Mae Wales and her husband Bill, of Clayton; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside Services and burial will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2009 at Millville Cemetery, Millville. A viewing will be privately held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 100 W. 10th St., Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801; or to the DE Breast Cancer Coalition, 111 W. 11th St., Suite 3, Wilmington, DE 19801.
