MILFORD - Edith Ruth (Finn) Carr, 86, of Milford, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at her home. Mrs. Carr was born in Fort Fairfield, Maine, daughter of the late Isaac and Helen Finnemore. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Hospital Auxiliary for 30 years, a member of both the Milford and Harrington Senior Centers and was a supporter of the Disabled Veterans Association. She enjoyed painting, knitting, cooking and traveling. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family and her precious dog Rambo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Jordan Carr in 1994. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Caccamise, of Lincoln and Joyce Hallisey of Marshfield, Mass.; two sons, Roger Carr, Jr. of Fitchburg, Mass. and Robert Carr of Milford; two sisters, Helen Lindsey of Pa. and Judy Schiavoni of Ohio; a brother "Bobby" Finnemore of Canada; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends called 10 to 11 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where services were held at 11 a.m. Burial was in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Bay Road, Frederica.
