DAGSBORO - Edgar T. Foskey Sr., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, in his home. He was 89. Mr. Foskey was born in Dagsboro, the son of the late Francis and Mary (McMullen) Foskey. Mr. Foskey was a truck driver for Red Star, Salisbury, Md. for 28 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, Georgetown. He was also a member of the teamsters and enjoyed dancing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy, in 1989; a sister, Littian Lecates; a brother, John Foskey; and a grandson, Steven T. Adkins. He is survived by his wife, Gladys (Gillman) Foskey; children, Virginia Dodson and Edgar Foskey Jr., both of Laurel, and Judith Adkins of Georgetown; three stepchildren, Patricia Bunting of Georgetown, Nancy Lesco of Houston, Texas, and Vincent La Court of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a niece, Anna Marlette of Laurel; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michaels the Arch Angel Catholic Church, Edward Street, Georgetown. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice Milford, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
