Eck: School attire shouldn’t include sweatpants and hoodies

Posted

I believe that students should dress appropriately for school. Sweatpants and such are not appropriate. Wearing a nice pair of slacks and shirt shows pride and a sense of character.

What is more appropriate can be seen in the present-day Senate. Recently, a senator was wearing a hoodie and baggy shorts, while conducting business in the Senate, which is clearly not appropriate.

The cost of a pair of slacks, shoes and a nice, regular shirt is no more than a pair of sweatpants, a designed shirt and sneakers.
