As a Delaware small-business owner, I’ve witnessed firsthand how local entrepreneurs continue to adapt, innovate and grow, despite ongoing economic challenges. Small businesses are a vital part of our communities — not only creating jobs but offering creativity and services that reflect the people who live here.
In 2014, I founded Crafty Cue as a locally owned business focused on personalized party products designed and produced in-house. Over the years, what began as a small creative venture has grown steadily, now fulfilling dozens of custom orders daily for customers across the U.S. and internationally — all while remaining rooted in Delaware.
Many small businesses like mine operate behind the scenes, investing in efficient production, managing fulfillment locally and finding ways to compete nationally without outsourcing. These efforts often go unseen, yet they play an important role in strengthening Delaware’s economy and supporting local families.
I hope to see continued recognition and support for Delaware’s small-business community, especially those building sustainable growth, while remaining locally owned.
