DOVER - Earl G. Harris passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016. Earl was born on Apr. 10, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Fred and Sylvia Harris. Earl served his country with honor for four years in the U.S. Air Force. He retired after 30 years of civil service at the Dover Air Force Base as an Aircraft Electrician. Earl enjoyed playing golf, fishing and boating. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred, William and Charles Harris; and his sister, Sylvia Vaughn. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Charlotte; two daughters, Debbie Ogden and her husband Brooks of Dover and Kathy Brown and her husband Charles of Dover; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Brown (Vanessa), Danny Boone (Amanda), Heather Brown, Brooks Ogden, Jr. and Scott Ogden; three great-grandchildren, Rachel Brown, Sophie Boone and Bohdi Boone; and extended family members. A visitation will be held at 12 pm on Tuesday, Mar. 1, 2016 at the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main Street in Smyrna. Memorial services will begin at 1 p.m. Burial with honors will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Asbury United Methodist Church, 20 W. Mt.
