KENNEDYVILLE, Md. - E. Jane Taylor Ford of Kennedyville, Md. died Sunday morning December 29, 2013 in the Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center, Farmington, Mo. at the age of 91 years, 6 months & 28 days. Mrs. Ford was born in Baltimore Md. the daughter of the late James Edward Taylor and Dorthea "Walker" Taylor. Mrs. Ford was a homemaker and very involved in her community. She was a member of the Questers, Cadwalader of Kent Chapter, and the Green Fingers Garden Club for over 50 yrs. and the Shrewsbury Episcopal Church where she enjoyed serving on their Alter Guild. Mrs. Ford was also a member of the Kent County Farm Bureau and the Chesterville Planning Group. Mrs. Ford loved her family and loved to laugh and have a good time. She enjoyed sewing and needle point and she also enjoyed reading and traveling. Mrs. Ford is predeceased by her husband, Herbert S. Ford Jr. in 2011; and a sister, Louise Kenney. She is survived by a daughter, Shelley Hartman of Farmington Missouri; and a son, Herbert "Bert" Ford III and his wife Dawn of Kennedyville, Md.; grandchildren, Christopher Hartman of Farmington, Mo., Paul Ford of Atlanta, Ga., Elizabeth Hartman of Farmington, Mo., and Brent Ford of Kennedyville, Md.; as well as one great granddaughter, Alaina Caroline Hartman of Farmington, Mo.; and one sister, Mary Alice Tracey of New Oxford, Pa. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday Jan. 4, 2014 in the Shrewsbury Episcopal Church, Kennedyville, Md. Friends and family are invited to visit the Parish Hall at Shrewsbury from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Interment will follow in the adjoining churchyard cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory to the Shrewsbury Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 187, Kennedyville, Md. 21645 Arrangements by the Fellows Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, Millington, Md.
