Drug dealing arrest made in Bridgeville

BRIDGEVILLE — Tijere Baldwin, 29, of Bridgeville, was arrested for alleged drug dealing after a search warrant execution on a home Tuesday, Delaware State Police said.

Spokesman Senior Cpl. Leonard DeMalto said that several months ago, detectives from the Sussex Drug Unit began investigating Mr. Baldwin, who was suspected of dealing narcotics throughout Sussex County. At approximately 6 a.m. a search warrant was executed on Mr. Baldwin’s residence in the 21000 block of Mill Park Drive.

Mr. Baldwin was taken into custody without incident, police said. Troopers also found four children inside of the home, who were later turned over to a family member, police said.

Police said crack cocaine, suspected heroin and MDMA were located, along with $2,400 in suspected drug dealing proceeds and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

Mr. Baldwin was charged with possession offenses including with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity, controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity, with intent to deliver a controlled substance (two counts) and drug paraphernalia (three counts) along with endangering the welfare of a child (four counts). He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $73,500 secured bond.
