A story in the Daily State News lists all the bills being introduced by lawmakers regarding the reassessment (“Delaware House lawmakers introduce 13 bills to minimize tax hikes after reassessment”). Wait, didn’t they read and pass the bills that they are trying to fix? Did the so-called experts give the wrong information? Or did they not do their own research into what would happen to the taxes if they passed the bills?
It looks to me that they weren’t doing their jobs and are now trying to correct the mistake they made, working on a bill they voted for and costing taxpayers more money.
