Regarding the article about a Dover man convicted on gun and drug charges being sentenced to 40 months: Does anyone think this is a fair sentence by U.S. District Judge Jennifer L. Hall (“Dover man sentenced to 40 months in prison for gun convictions”)?
The man was just released from prison a month before this arrest for gun charges. He has four previous convictions for the same crimes over 10 years. If the judge saw this record, it should warrant a longer sentence, to keep this person off the streets of Dover.
The police did their job with the arrest, but the judge failed, in my opinion, to protect the state of Delaware. It’s time to shine the light on these judges and their lenient sentences. After the second chance, this man did not learn a lesson.
