Mr. Frederick Longacre has promoted that we are losing democracy under the Trump administration (“With Trump, it’s ugly trees and uglier forest”). He fails to take into account what the past administration had done. The open borders allow millions of people to cross the border illegally. This has led to immigrants getting driver’s licenses and being involved in crashes killing U.S. citizens. The crimes committed include having illegal immigrants on voting rolls, like New Jersey announced, which dilutes U.S. citizens’ votes.
Longacre also doesn’t mention that, when the last president ended his reelection campaign, was there a primary? No. The party just anointed someone to take his place. Is this democracy? Who mandated wearing masks? Who said COVID-19 shots were required or you’d lose your job? Was that democracy? Did democracy let 300,000 children get lost in the system? Did democracy try, in many states, to keep President Donald Trump off the ballot? No.
Why shouldn’t the people get to make that decision? The majority did make that same decision and voted to put President Trump back in the White House. That was democracy at work.
