Drennen: Coons’ tirade has interesting timing

Posted

In the July 18 Daily State News, Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., voiced his opinion about President Donald Trump’s speech on election interference. According to Sen. Coons, the whole thing was filled with falsehoods. This seems to reflect the same views he has always had when it comes to President Trump.

Sen. Coons stood by his friend, President Joe Biden, who told the nation that the border was closed. He also never brought forward President Biden’s decline, even though it was put on full view during the disaster debate. Sen. Coons said he never saw that from President Biden, even though he was the leader of the president’s reelection campaign.

Sen. Coons also voted to give taxpayers’ money to illegal immigrants for housing, health benefits, food, education and spending money. Sen. Coons was also behind the Russian hoax in President Trump’s first term. And he agreed to mandate masks and vaccines without the science to confirm that these would stop people from getting or passing COVID-19.

You have to ask yourself, does he have good judgment? I’m curious: Now that the citizens of Delaware are hearing from Sen. Coons, is there an election coming up?
