Dover man injured by gunshot early Friday

DOVER — A 25-year-old Dover man sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body Friday.

Dover police spokesperson Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said officers were called to Village and Quail Hollow drives at 2:04 a.m. in response to a report of multiple shots being fired.

Police located the victim, who was transported to Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus in Dover for treatment.

There were no leads or suspect descriptions as of Friday afternoon.
