DOVER — A 19-year-old Dover man was shot once in the leg while leaving a party Saturday, Delaware State Police spokesman Senior Cpl. Leonard DeMalto said.
At approximately 11:43 p.m., troopers responded to the 1500 block of South Governors Avenue regarding a shooting and found the wounded man. The man was taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and later released.
Troopers learned that several vehicles were struck by rounds during the shooting, as well as the nearby Touchdown bar and Valero gas station.
No other injuries were reported, Cpl. DeMalto said, but detectives recovered numerous bullet casings. There was no suspect information available Monday.
