Dover man charged with first-degree burglary

DOVER — A 32-year-old Dover man was charged with first-degree burglary after an break-in at a residence Sunday, Delaware State Police said.

Police said that a burglary occurred in the 1400 block of North Little Creek Road at approximately 3:53 p.m. and Carlos Vazquez entered the home and stole property from a person before fleeing.

Mr. Vazquez was identified as a suspect and later taken into custody without incident.

Besides the burglary offense, Mr. Vazquez was charged with theft under $1,500. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to the Sussex Correction Institution on a $11,000 secured bond.
