Dover man, 19, shot Sunday night

DOVER — A 19-year-old Dover man was shot on the 400 block of Barrister Place on Sunday, authorities said.

Dover police spokesman Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said officers received a shots-fired report at 11:13 p.m. Upon arrival, they could not locate any victims.

A victim later arrived via private vehicle at Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus in Dover. He was suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body as a result of the reported shooting, Cpl. Schmid said. The wounded man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation at the scene revealed that a vehicle had also been struck by gunfire, causing damage to a rear window.

There were no leads nor suspect description available Monday. No other injuries were reported.
