Dorothy S. Gundling, 75 DOVER - Dorothy S. Gundling, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009, in her daughters home. She was 75. Mrs. Gundling was born October 22, 1934 in Baltimore, Md., to the late Savia Hanzook and Anna Harvaitt Hanzook. She drove a school bus for 14 years for Wilson's Bus Service in Anne Arundel County, and then went to work for Daris & Hemphill Machine Shop. Mrs. Gundling enjoyed working puzzles and attending yard sales. She was a member of a very well-loved family. Mrs. Gundling was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Gundling Jr. in 2005; and three brothers, John, Joseph and Melvin Hanzook. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Whitacre of Dover; her son, Frederick Gundling III of Salisbury, Md.; daughter, Margie Shinaberry and a son-in-law, Jamie Henderson; three sisters, Genevieve Syah of Berlin, Md., Marie Bradley of Odenton, Md., and Joyce Wood and her husband, Marquess of Eldersburg, Md.; four grandchildren, Frederick Gundling IV and his wife, Lily, Laura Bradford and her husband, Dustin, Cory Henderson, and Kayla Henderson; and four great-grandchildren. She was also survived by many, many more children who, when visiting her home or riding on her school bus, would always be treated by her as if they were her own children and would always greet her as "mom". Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2009, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
