FELTON - Dorothy M. O'day, of Felton, departed this life on Friday, December 23, 2011. She was 95 years old. Dorothy was born March 17, 1916, to Thomas Wesley and Annie Martha (Williamson) O'Day in Denton, Md. She spent most of her working years as a PBX operator for International Playtex Corp. of Dover, DE. and retired in 1978. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Elmer, Roland, Norman, William (infant), and Lester O'Day; and a sister, Helen Thompson; as well as five nephews. She is survived by her sister, Louise O. Biddle of Felton; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. She was 'Aunt Dot' to almost everyone who knew her. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street Felton, where friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, DE. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Felton Community Fire Company, Inc. Ambulance Fund, 9 E. Main Street, Felton, DE. 19943.
