HARTLY - Dorothy M. Long passed away Friday May 3, 2013 at Silverlake Nursing Center Dover. She was born on April 8, 1928 in Dover, Del. to the late James and Edith Bedwell Trifiatis. She was a member of Modern Maturity Center Dover. She was a homemaker, and loved her dog Lassie. Sarah Brill a neighbor treated Mrs. Long like her own mother. Preceded in death by her husband Willian F. Long, Sr.; daughter, Patricia Long; grandson, Jeremy McGehee; son in law Jerry W. McGehee. She is survived by her son, Frank Long, Jr. of Hartly, Del.; daughter, Violet McGehee of Hartly, Del.; daughter, Dorothy Louise Williams of Cheswold, Del.; grandchildren, Lucille Parker, Connie Laird, John Brennan, Tammy Garron, Loretta Long, Crystal Long, Joshua Long, Charles Long; great-grandchildren, Mark Laird, Jr., Ashley Parker, Rachel Laird, Kevin Parker, Morgan Garron,Courtney Garron, Tanner Brennan, Ian Brennan and two great-great-grandchildren. A Remembrance Service will be held on Wed. May 8, 2013 at noon at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, Del. Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover, Del. Family and friends may also call one hour before the time of the service at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover. The family request that memorial contributions be given to American Cancer Society 92 Read's Way Suite 205 New Castle, DE 19720.
