Dorothy L. Grosso, 87 CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Dorothy L. Grosso, 87, of Chestertown, died July 13, 2010, in Chestertown Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Chestertown. Mrs. Grosso was born on Feb. 18, 1923, daughter of the late Andrew J. and Fannie Blackiston Briscoe. She was a lifetime resident of Chestertown where she was a 1943 graduate of Chestertown High School. Mrs. Grosso was employed for 20 years at LaMotte Chemical, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Fairlee and Millington V.F.W.'s. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joseph D. Grosso in 2004; a brother, Andrew J. Briscoe, Jr.; and two sisters, Hallie Neal and Eva Coleman. Mrs. Gross is survived by her son, David Grosso of Chestertown; a sister, Mary Cruikshank of Galena; a granddaughter, Angie Grosso of Millington; and two great-grandchildren, Dustin and Courtney Short. Friends may call on Friday, July 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, where service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial in St. Paul's Cemetery, Chestertown, Md. www.galenafuneralhomeofsls.com
