Dorothy Bell Stayton

DOVER - Dorothy Bell Stayton, of Dover, died Aug. 9, 2010, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was 83. Mrs. Stayton was born Jan. 6, 1927, in Collingswood, N.J., to the late Neilson R. Bell and Alma Lane Bell. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her girls. Mrs. Stayton held several offices in the New Comers Club, and was the editor of the Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church, church bulletin both in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. She also held several offices in the Women's Club in Woodstown, N.J. Mrs. Stayton is survived by her husband of 61 years, Homer Stayton of Dover; three daughters, Linda Rivetto and her husband Larry of Troy, Mich., Donna Pipeling and her husband Daniel of Dunkirk, Md., Sandra Meyers and her husband Al of Keansburg, N.J.; seven grandchildren, Laurie and Lesley Rivetto, Matthew Pipeling, Katie Woodard, Christopher and Kelly Hornecker, Cassie Meyers; and four great-grandchildren, Sydney and Andrew Pipeling, Bella Woodard, and Jordon Hornecker. Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday Aug. 11, 2010, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
