Dorothy Arlene Delosier

MILFORD - Dorothy Arlene Delosier, 81, of Milford, died Monday, March 14, 2011 at Kent General Hospital, Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover. Mrs. Delosier was born in Williamsport, Pa. the daughter of the late Clarence and Maudella Gold. She worked for several years for the Lutheran Publishing Company. She was a member of the Ladies of the Elks in Milford. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting, and loved making beautiful afghans for family and friends. She loved to read, doing sudoku puzzles and collecting lighthouses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Russell C. Delosier in 2010; and two sisters, Helen Mae Tull and Pearlie Gold. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Russell C. Delosier, Jr; a daughter, Susan Kay Holston and her husband Gary; a daughter-in-law, Shelly Delosier; a sister, Norma Pennington, of Cape May, N.J.; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Holston, Chase Delosier and Robby Delosier; a brother-in-law, Foster Delosier and his wife Linda; of Selinsgrove, Pa; and two sisters-in-law, Linda Delosier of Northumberland, Pa. and Betty Brininger and her husband John of Millmont, Pa.; as well as several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Burial will be in Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, New Castle, DE 19720.
