Doris J. Niblett

GEORGETOWN - Doris J. Niblett passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Mar. 21, 2017. Born in Milford on Nov. 11, 1933, Doris was the third of four daughters born to Leroy and Mabel (Truitt) Webb.
Always hardworking, Doris began her career at Silco where she would meet her husband, Carl "Dickie" Niblett, Sr. She was then employed at Arrow Safety Device as a technician. Doris retired from working with her sister, Pat Holston, first at Pat's Apparel, followed by Blue Barn Flowers and Gifts.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Mabel Webb; her sisters, Grace Wilkerson and Betty Mumford; and her husband, Carl "Dickie" Niblett, Sr.
She is survived by her sister, Pat J. Holston; and her son, Carl "Dickie" Niblett, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Mar. 25, 2017, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturday. Interment will take place in Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Doris's memory to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
Casual attire appropriate.
