DOVER - Doris Bolan Cole passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.
Doris was born the daughter of the late Walter D. and Laura S. Bolan on Jan. 26, 1926.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Dick" Cole; and daughter, Donna Cole Warren.
Doris was a 1944 graduate of Dover High School. In 1945, she married her beloved husband. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Doris was a homemaker and joined with her husband in the ownership and operation of Bolan Motors Ford in Dover.
She had a love for antiques, much like her mother. Doris took pleasure in decorating her home, especially for every season and holiday, which she made special year after year.
Her biggest pleasures came from family and friends. She especially adored her three granddaughters, always doting upon them. Doris was truly a special person who was loved and admired. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her daughter, Dayle Bennett, of Ocean City, Md.; two sons, Richard Cole, of Marydel, Md., and Bruce Cole (Debra), of Dover; son-in-law, John Warren, of Dover; three granddaughters, Shelby, Sage and Sarah.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
