Doris Bell Fleetwood

SEAFORD - Doris Bell Fleetwood, age 87, of Seaford, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, in Life Care at Lofland Park, Seaford. Born in East St. Louis, Ill., the daughter of the late Edith May Sunderland and Lesley Charles Bell, she was a homemaker. Doris was a member of Mt Olivet United Methodist Church, a charter member of the ladies auxiliary Virgil Wilson Post 4961 Veterans of Foreign Wars, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a member of Daughters of American Revolution. She is survived by three sons, Richard W. Fleetwood of Seaford, David A. Fleetwood of Millville, and James C. Fleetwood of Aurora, Colo.; two daughters, Kathleen F. Lingo and Joyce E. Fleetwood, both of Seaford; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband George Alton Fleetwood and a brother Warren L. Bell. A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday Jan. 25, 2011, in Watson-Yates Funeral Home Front & King Streets, Seaford, where friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Rev. Gary Tulak will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
