MILFORD - Doris B. Bryant, of Milford, passed away Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 at Greenmeadows in Dover. She was 90. Doris was born on Oct. 19, 1920 in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Eugene C. Burton, Sr. and Lucille Mayhew Burton. She was employed for 28 years with the L.D. Caulk Co. in Milford, and retired in 1983 to care for her ailing father. Mrs. Bryant enjoyed collecting antiques, crocheting and serving tea to her friends in her home. She was a long time member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and was active with her church circle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene C. Burton, Jr. and a sister, Janice Zebley. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Edward DeLuca of Bethel; a granddaughter, Diane Massey of Milford; and a grandson, Robert E. Massey and his wife Karen of Ellendale. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford. Burial was held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice, 702B Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE, 19805.
