GEORGETOWN - Donna Rae Walker passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017.
Mrs. Walker was born in Milford to the late Lester J. and Pearl (Cullen) Wells. She had worked as an attendant in the operating room/ linen department for Milford Memorial Hospital for 23 years.
Donna was a member of Crossroad Community Church and loved her children and grandchildren. She was always supportive and put her family before her own needs. She was a great wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Nicholson, Neva Lee Pugh, Madeline Warrington, and Linda Milliner; and brother, Lester J. Wells Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Paul James Walker, III; sons, Paul J. and Andrea Walker, IV, and Samuel J. and Jessica Walker; brothers, Richard and Robert Wells; and grandchildren, Shaila, Sammy, Ashton, and Sophia Walker. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017 at 12 p.m. at Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Rd., Georgetown, DE 19947, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Interment will be at Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
