SEAFORD - Donna Rae Lathbury, of Seaford, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 52.
Donna was born in Milford, daughter of Sylvester and Barbara (Crowley) Bunting of Seaford.
She was a CNA with Bayhealth -Milford Memorial Hospital in the pediatric unit for several years.
She especially enjoyed rocking babies.
Donna also was a private duty CNA for many local families.
Donna enjoyed camping and being outdoors, especially her time spent on Chincoteague Island, Va.
She also loved dancing.
She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Seaford.
Donna was preceded in death by grandparents, Hattie Mae Bunting and Frank and Mabel Crowley; two aunts, Sadie Finnefrock and Betty Frable; and an uncle, Robert Crowley.
In addition to her parents, Donna is survived by two children, James Stuart of Harrington and Krissie Thawley and husband James of Lincoln; four grandchildren, Hunter Stuart, James Donald "JD" Stuart, Logan Thawley and Wesley Thawley; two brothers, Sylvester E.S. Bunting and wife Jan of Bridgeville and Steven Mark Bunting of Seaford; two sisters, Chris Thomas and husband James of Seaford and Kim Wingate and husband Gerald, Jr. of Georgetown; uncle, Arthur Bunting and wife Lorraine of Milford; aunt, Beverly Baker and husband Howard of Seaford; and four nieces and nephews, Bryan Neal, Steven Bunting, Courtney Bunting and Kodi Wingate.
Services will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family requests donations to Berry-Short Funeral Homes, 119 NW Front St., Milford, to help defray expenses.
