SUDLERSVILLE, MD - Donald William Proud, Jr. passed away on the 20th of January 2024.
Donald was born in Dover, DE the son of the late Donald Sr. and Catherine "Moore" Proud. After graduating from Queen Anne's County High School, he went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Salisbury University in 1979. Donald went to work for Delaware Technical Community College as an applications development specialist and retired in 2020 after 30 years of service.
He enjoyed walking and participating in 5k races. He loved sports cars, was a big fan of Nascar, the Ravens and regularly attended Orioles games with his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Vicki Barker Hartzell, of Alvin, TX, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be held on Tuesday, January 30th at 11am at Fellows Family Funeral Home, 370 Cypress St., Millington, MD 21651. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Interment will follow the services at Sudlersville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Sudlersville Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 61, Sudlersville, MD 21668.
