Donald F. Pepper

BEAR - Donald F. Pepper, of Bear, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011. He was 72. Donald was born March 26, 1940 in Milford. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. After graduating from Milton High School, he attended college in Philadelphia, Delaware and Indiana. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 40 years. After retirement from the Post Office, he delivered teeth to dentists for a dental lab in Wilmington for several years. He was a 32nd Mason and member of the Endeavor Masonic Lodge #17 in Milton. Donald was an avid bicyclist, who rode several miles each day. He loved cats and had recently adopted two stray cats. He is survived by his longtime companion, Mrs. Louise Cranelle; and his parents, William and Marion Pepper. Visitation will be 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, from noon to 1 p.m., in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, where masonic service will begin at 1 p.m. with the funeral service immediately following. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: S.P.C.A., 22918 DuPont Hwy, Georgetown, DE 19947.
