MILFORD - Dolores M. Fish, 82, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. Dolores was born in Philadelphia, Pa. the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Dorothy Ruth (Henry) Manley. Dolores moved all over the United States as she was growing up because her father served in the Navy. She graduated from Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia, then began her career as a statistical typist for the Signal Corp working with confidential correspondence during the Korean War. After her marriage to Walter Fish, she stayed at home to raise their children. Once their children were grown, she began working as a Christian school teacher for four and a half years then working with handicapped children for ten years. After retirement, Dolores moved to Milford, to live with her family. She loved the Lord and loved attending her church, The First Baptist Church of Milford, where she was an active member until her illness. Most important to her was her family, for she was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter F. Fish in 1991; a grandson, John C. Vasquez, Jr.; and two brothers, Charles and Richard Manley. She is survived by her children, John C. Vasquez, David C. Vasquez, Dorothy Ann Doneker and her husband Bill, Walter F. Fish, Jr. and his wife Nora; 19 grandchildren and their spouses and 17 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, August 17, 2015 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Forest Hlls Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pa. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the First Baptist Church of Milford, 6062 Old Shawnee Road, Milford, DE 19963.
