SEAFORD - Doloras G. McIlvain, age 84, of Seaford, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 30, 2011. Doloras was born in Bloomsburg, Pa. on January 6, 1927, the daughter of the late Jack Geistwite. She was a member of the Seaford Presbyterian Church for over 35 years. She was a member of the church choir for many years and was a part time organist and was a member of the Presbyterian Women. She was a member of the Nanticoke Senior Center where she loved to play bridge. Doloras and her husband Harry were members of the Whirl-A-Way Square Dance Club for 34 years. Doloras retired from Royster Fertilizer Co and later from Lebanon Company of Bridgeville. Her first husband Gerald Walter died in 1974. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Massey; her sister, Nancy Thomas; and nephew, Dale Thomas. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Harry McIlvain; her son, Larry Walter of Las Vegas, Nev.; nieces, Gale Thomas and Sally Thomas; two grandsons, Chad Bredbenner and his wife Lori, and Clint Bredbenner and his wife Shana; great-grandchildren, Patty, Shannon, Josh and Ty Bredbenner; stepson, James McIlvain and his wife Lynn Marie; step daughter, Christina Whaley and her husband Kenneth; step-grandchildren, Hannah McIlvain, Charity, Marie and Timothy Whaley. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the Seaford Presbyterian Church, 701 Bridgeville Hwy., Seaford. Friends may call at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 Shipley St., Seaford on Monday, June 6, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday, July 7, 2001 from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to the Seaford Presbyterian Church, 710 Bridgeville Hwy, Seaford, DE 19973 or to the Nanticoke Senior Center, C/O P O Box 28, Seaford, DE 19973.
