RESPONSES TO QUESTION OF THE WEEK

Do you expect winter to be wicked this year?

Posted

As temperatures are cooling throughout fall, forecasters are cautiously predicting that less snow may cover Delaware during winter 2025-26 than did so last year. Regardless of that outlook, are you preparing for the season? How do you plan for icy commutes, closed schools and packed supermarkets? Do you believe state emergency officials do enough when large storms are expected?

  • We just went through one helluva hurricane season (as predicted), so I would expect massive snowstorms. — Bob Hice
  • I personally don’t expect tons of snow. Probably ice storms. But it will be very, very cold. — Denise Bella
  • I sure hope not. — Howard Brobst
  • The weather prophets seem to think so. We’ll just have to ride it out. — Warren Avis
