DNREC to host offshore wind information session

Posted

LEWES — Multiple permits issued by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control are required of offshore power developer US Wind before its Maryland project becomes reality.

To inform area residents how they might be impacted, the department has scheduled a public information session from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Beacon Middle School, 19483 John J. Williams Highway.

The project’s cables are proposed to land at Delaware Seashore State Park’s 3Rs Beach parking lot. It would interconnect to a proposed substation on a parcel adjacent to the Indian River power plant in Millsboro.
