CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Dianna Mench Gordon, of Chestertown, died Nov. 2, 2008, in Washington Hospital Center. She was 64. Mrs. Gordon was born on Nov. 21, 1943, in Chestertown, daughter of the late James and Catherine Joiner Mench. As a lifetime resident of Kent County, Dianna was employed for past 15 years by Grieb Manufacturing Co., currently as their secretary-bookkeeper. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Norman and Robert Mench; and a sister Regina Mench. Mrs. Gordon is survived by her husband of 48 years, Richard E. Gordon; two daughters, Tamilyn Forester of Baltimore, and Shelly Gsell and her husband Mike of Fairlee; three sisters, Margaret Lane of Church Hill, Beatrice Messina of Columbia, and Hazel Moffett of Chestertown; and four grandchildren, Ashley and Autumn Forester and Travis and Jessica Gsell. A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in Chester Cemetery, Chestertown. Memorials may be offered to the American Heart Association or Christian Children's Fund c/o the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD 21635.
