Diana Elizabeth Behrens Swann, 76 MILFORD - Diana Elizabeth Behrens Swann, of Milford, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Atlantic Shores in Millsboro. She was 86. Diana was born in Norfolk, Va., the daughter of the late Real Admiral Charles F. and Emma Spencer Behrens. She worked for the American Red Cross as an Insurance Registrar. She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Milford. She enjoyed painting and writing poetry. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Melvin J. Swann; seven children, Ellen Rice of Ocean View, Marianne Bennett and Nicholas of Gaithersburg, Md., Lorraine Finch and her husband Don of Greenville, Fla., Janet Osborne and her husband Larry of Fredericksburg, Va., Steven Swann and his wife, Susan of Clayton, Stuart Swann of Uniontown, Pa., and Jeffrey Swann of Manassas, Va.; one sister, Eleanor Parker of Peterborough, N.H.; 12 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be noon, Thursday, Nov. 12, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
