Diana Ann Balacco, 82
LARGO, Fla. - Diana Ann Balacco, of Largo, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, in hospice care after suffering a brief illness. She was 82.
She was born in New York on Jan. 21, 1926, she also lived in New Jersey, and moved to Delaware in 1964. She retired to Largo in 1981.
Mrs. Balacco was also a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed taking trips with the Red Hat Society.
She enjoyed knitting, bingo, reading the newspaper first thing in the morning, watching the Game Show Network, and going on trips with her great-grandchildren to Walt Disney World.
Mrs. Balacco is survived by her son, Stephen Balacco and his wife and children; a daughter, Madaline Balacco and her son Vito Balacco and his wife Heather Balacco; daughter, Ann Marie Caldwell and husband Roy Caldwell of Clayton, Del.; granddaughter, Diana Janeka and husband Ricky Janeka of Smyrna, Del.; great-grandchildren Thomas Fretz, Rene A. Fretz, Britney, Hunter and Saylor Janeka, all of Smyrna, and Emma and Mia Balacco of Sea Trout.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Florida, Suncoast, Roosevelt Boulevard, Largo, FL 33760.
Services will be private.
To our beloved mother and grandmother, you will be sorely missed.
