HARRINGTON - Denelda Moore passed away on Sun., May 3, 2015 at the Milford Center. Mrs. Moore was born in Goldsboro, Md. the daughter of the late John A. and Nancy Bell (Thomas) Crist. She and her husband Jack operated the family farm in Harrington from 1948 until 1981. She also worked at the shirt factory in Harrington as well as the Wyoming Hosiery Mill. In her spare time, she enjoyed crochetting, winning many blue ribbons for her work at the Delaware State Fair. She also enjoyed watching TV and reading the newspaper. She was an avid member of the Democratic Party, spending many an hour in the sweltering heat at the Delaware State Fair supporting local politicians such as Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Tom Carper, just to name a few. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Orville F. (Jack) Moore in 1981. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thurs., May 7, 2015 at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
