Demea 'Me Me' Shruz Jamel Jefferson 'The Maestro', 37 S
EAFORD -Demea Shruz Jamel Jefferson, of Seaford, better known as "The Maestro" by many and "Me Me" by family and friends went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008. He was 37. Demea was born in Seaford on March 28, 1971. He was the beloved son of Louzena M. Jefferson "Zenie" of Seaford and William Cherry of Richmond, Va; maternal grandson of, Esther G. Jefferson of Seaford; paternal grandson of, Helen Cannon of Seaford; brother of, Kevin Jefferson and Toja Ricketts of Seaford and Akiba B. Cherry of Richmond, Va. He is also survived by five grandchildren; seven sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; two godchildren, Mytoria Edwards of Salisbury, Md. and Ebony Johnson of Laurel; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was the devoted husband of Sari Elizabeth "Liz" Jefferson; father of, Stephen Marquis (Trishana), Sheeria Monique, Shana Maria, Subrina Madgeleimea and Sherrylynn Renard. Me Me graduated from Seaford High School in 1990, then he furthered his education by attending Delaware Technical Community College where he majored in music. Demea was a member of Rehoboth Temple of Praise in Laurel, under the Pastoral ship of Bishop Leon J. Wilson. Music was what Demea lived for he was truly an anointed and gifted Hammond Organ Player that could take the congregation off their feet. He was often told by Preachers "Stop that Boy you're going to make me hurt myself." Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing being followed by a Musical Tribute, today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rehoboth Temple of Praise located at 32481 Gody Road, Laurel. The Home Going Celebration will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Tabernacle of Prayer-Pastor Rosie Edwards 143 Mitchell/Parsons Road, Salisbury, Md. Bishop Mary Alexander will be officiating and Bishop Leon J, Wilson will be the Eulogist. Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home.
