Delores M. Preston

MILFORD - Delores M. Preston was born 21 Mar 1963 to Willard and Elsie Hicks in Milford, Del. She attended the Ceasar Rodney School district and graduated from James Groves H.S. in 1982. Along with her family her great love was cooking and she graduated the honor student from Polytech's Adult Education Culinary Arts Course, a field she continued in until her passing. Delores was preceded in transition by her bestest friend and daughter Lasheka Nacole and is being mourned by her husband of 32 years, David Preston Jr; her two sons, David 3rd, and William J. all of Dover; two mothers, Elsie M. Hicks of Star Hill and Carol A. Preston of Smyrna, Del.; five brothers, David and Raymond Hicks of Dover, Del., William Hicks of Newcastle, Del., Richard Davis of Coatsville, Pa., Reginard Davis of Ft. Walton Bch, Fla.; four sisters, Hazel Butcher and Norma Alexander of Texas, Doris Hicks of Dover, Del. and Dorothy Pearson of N.J.; 11 grandchildren, David iv, Lexi and Carter of Camden, Jordan, Leah, Matt, Alexis and Amaya of Woodside, and Kylse, Tavar and Nehemiah of Seaford, Del. and a myriad of nieces, nephews and cousins along with her very special extended family of Woodside. Services will be held at Love Temple 1057 S. Governers Ave. in Dover, DE. Viewing will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm with service to follow. Donations will be accepted and appreciated.
