Della Elizabeth Barner

DOVER - Della Elizabeth Barner passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, in Westminster Village Health Center, Dover. She was 82. Della was born on Nov. 16, 1928, in Williamsport, Pa., daughter of the late Martin and Minnie (Miller) Meyer. She had worked as a factory sewer for textiles and enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening and canning. Della was a member of the United Methodist Women and Foster Grandparents. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Barner. Della is survived by a son, Grant W. Barner Jr. of Dover; daughter, Grace E. Hardesty of Magnolia; son, George M. Barner of Windber, Pa.; daughter, Betty L. Enloe of San Angelo, Texas; six grandchildren, Allen Enloe of San Angelo, Texas, Bryan Enloe of Lakeville, Mass., Crystal Prieto of San Angelo, Texas, Sean Enloe of San Angelo, Texas, Melissa Hardesty of Magnolia and Matthew Barner of Windber, Pa.; and six great-grandchildren. Viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Magnolia United Methodist Women, P.O. Box 256, Magnolia, DE 19980; or Seasons Hospice, 220 Continental Drive, Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
