Delaware Transit Corp. seeks input on ‘DART Reimagined’

Delaware Transit Corp. is leading a yearlong, statewide transit study, “DART Reimagined: Reshaping DART Transit Services to Meet the Needs of Today and Beyond,” to reconfigure the bus network and provide a more sustainable and equitable transit system.

The goal is to collaborate with riders, the public, municipalities, businesses, state agencies and other stakeholders to garner input on services and to identify goals for improvements.

The DART Reimagined team is encouraging current and future customers to take a digital survey through April 21. Survey insights will help DART understand the challenges and opportunities of transit access, and how connections may be bettered.

The questionnaire can be accessed at dartreimagined.com and should take less than 10 minutes. Participants can also choose to be entered into a drawing for a free seven-day pass, with 10 entries being selected.

The study kicked off earlier this year with the project team identifying an Executive Advisory Committee, which meets bimonthly, as well as four Technical Advisory Committees, one for each county and Wilmington, which meet quarterly.

The groups represent a range of expertise across the state, including municipalities, Hispanic community leaders, transit advocates, disability/elderly organizations, universities and businesses.

This summer, DART will be conducting workshops statewide for additional engagement.
