NEWARK — Who knows what the Colorado football program will look like two years from now?

But Delaware is going to find out after announcing today that the Blue Hens will play a game at Colorado in 2025.

Delaware will travel to Boulder, Colo. for a matchup with the Buffaloes on Sept. 6, 2025.

The Hens should be a full-fledged FBS program by then after transitioning from the FCS level in 2024.

Colorado, of course, received a great deal of national attention this past fall in its first season with former NFL star Deion Sanders as head coach. The Buffaloes finished 4-8 after starting the season with three straight victories.

Putting Delaware in the national spotlight was one of the reasons UD officials gave for moving its program up to FBS. Not surprisingly, it will be the first meeting between the two programs.

Colorado is joining the Big 12 Conference next year while Delaware will be in Conference USA by 2025.
