Delaware State to open '24 football season at Hawaii

DOVER — The Delaware State football team is going to go a long way to open the 2024 season.

The Hornets announced on social media this morning that they will play a game at Hawaii on Aug. 24 in their season opener.

DelState will play a 12-game schedule in its second season under coach Lee Hull. The Hornets went 1-10 last fall.

A Division I FBS program, Hawaii finished 5-8 a year ago.

DSU’s schedule includes seven road games and five at home.

Along with its MEAC slate, the Hornets will play non-conference games against Sacred Heart, Robert Morris, Richmond, Campbell, Saint Francis, Wagner and Hawaii.
