WILMINGTON — The Delaware State Chamber of Commerce approved the following new members to its Board of Directors and Board of Governors, effective Jan. 1, 2025.
The State Chamber Board of Directors:
The following business and community leaders were elected to the State Chamber’s Board of Governors:
“On behalf of the Delaware State Chamber and its Board, we are pleased to welcome these representatives from our member organizations to our Board of Directors and Board of Governors,” said Chair Marie Holliday.
“Their perspectives and active engagement with the State Chamber will help us continue to fulfill our mission of connecting people, solving problems, and fostering a stronger, more competitive Delaware for all.”
Jason Gonzalez from DuPont and Rodger Levenson from WSFS Bank are transitioning off the Board of Directors. Both will remain members of the Board of Governors. The Delaware State Chamber also named Michael A. Albero, CPA, MST, managing partner at AKA Advisory, as treasurer. He will serve a two-year term in this role.
Additionally, each year, a board member is recognized by State Chamber staff as Board Member of the Year. This year, John Gooden, chief operating officer at M. Davis & Sons, was chosen as the honoree for his exceptional contributions to the organization. Mr. Gooden serves as vice chair of the Board of Directors, co-chairs the Delaware Manufacturing Association, and chaired the State Chamber’s Strategic Planning Committee.
“I want to congratulate John Gooden on being named Board Member of the Year,” said DSCC President Michael J. Quaranta. “John has played a key role in so much of what we do, especially with the Delaware Manufacturing Association and our strategic planning efforts over the last year. His guidance has helped us map out the next three years to ensure Delaware remains a great place for jobs, economic growth, and quality of life. His dedication and creativity truly make a difference to our organization.”
