FELTON - Deborah Ann Karchner "Debbie" of Felton passed away July 14, 2011. Debbie was 51 years old, born April 19, 1960 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Debbie was a self less, compassionate, intelligent and hysterically funny individual, with the biggest heart in the world. She was a wife to her husband Larry and mother of her only daughter Nicole Casazza, whom she loved with all her heart and centered her world around, a daughter, a sister, and a friend to many. Debbie worked in the healthcare field for several years as a certified nursing assistant, home health aide, paraprofessional in the school system and graduated from Delaware Technical & Community College with her Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy. Debbie loved to decorate her home, create photo frames and albums, take trips to the beach, sing and dance to oldies music and spend time with her family which she treasured. Debbie had a heart of gold, always working to give to those she loved and never worrying about what she'd receive in return. She loved the Lord, her husband Larry Karchner of 7 years, her daughter Nicole (her closest friend), her family, and other loved ones dearly. Debbie is survived by her husband, Larry Karchner of Felton; daughter, Nicole Casazza of Dover; first husband of 20 years, Robert Casazza of Elkton, Md.; step-children, Barbara Lorea of Sugarland, Tx., Cathy Holcomb of Dover, and Larry (JR) Karchner of Nevada; mother, Juanita Carney and stepfather Richard Carney of Dover; brother, Johnny Garcia of Dover; sister, Donna Stradling of BelAir, Md.; uncle, Danny Salaz of Nevada; cousin, Kathy Anderson of Oregon; aunt, Betty Rodriguez; and cousin, Denise of Colorado. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday July 20, 2011, at Southside Baptist Church in Dover, where we will be celebrating Debbie's life and home-going to Christ who is holding her now and forever. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at
