MILFORD - David Lee Nichols, 71, of Louisville, Ky. and formerly of Milford, has passed into the arms of his Heavenly Father on February 11, 2015 after a brief illness that was diagnosed as lung cancer. Dave was born in Dover, to the late David W. Nichols and Evelyn E. (Dean) Nichols. His greatest joy in life was his family, fishing and boating. Among those who preceeded him in death include his son, David "Troy" Nichols at the age of 42 in 2012. Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, all together, Maryan "Ginger" Schuler-Nichols; and his daughter, Jodi Lee Arthur (Rick); four granddaughters; four grandsons; and a great grandson, Kaeson; siblings, Sharon Lee Hickmsn (Earl) and Terry L. Nichols both of Delaware. His canine sons, Scotty, Jack and Kodi. A service will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Blairs Pond at 1 p.m. Anyone who grew up with Dave and helped shape him into the adult that he became is welcome to attend the brief service at Blairs Pond.
